Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences
Performing and Visual Arts

The launch of the Performing and Visual Arts Wing of the Don Taft University Center in fall 2008 began a new era for Nova Southeastern University as a significant contributor to South Florida in terms of theater, dance, music, and visual arts.

This modern new home for creative expression includes performance and black box theaters; scene and costume shops; a dance studio; orchestra, choral, and music practice rooms; and music keyboard and technology labs. It provides space for studios dedicated to painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and graphic design.

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art, Dance, Music, Theatre, and Arts Administration, as well as minors in graphic design, arts administration, music, and theatre. These programs are enhanced by co-curricular performing arts programs, such as the Bossa Nova chorale, orchestra, and Sharkestra Pep Band; a thriving college performance series; and partnerships with professional performing and visual arts organizations.
